Can the customer buy the devices at the end of the contract term?
Disposal and recycling costs are included in the subscription. Should your client choose to take ownership of the devices, they will be liable for the disposal costs. It may therefore be more economical to refresh the estate than to purchase the existing one.
I have access to extremely low cost of funds from my bank. How is this different?
What we offer is a different solution to low cost of funds because it is a subscription that comes with various other benefits not normally offered by banks.
The Panasonic Warranty only applies to accidental damage. What happens if a customer’s device is lost or stolen?
It is recommended that the customer take out insurance on the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK or indeed add these to their existing policy, if applicable. Alternatively Econocom can provide full insurance cover for these devices, at an additional monthly cost.
What happens at the end of the agreement?
When the client is ready to return the equipment, Econocom will manage the collection, data wiping (in line with GDPR and WEEE directives) and recycling of the outgoing equipment. The cost for all this is included in the subscription fee.
If required, the subscription can be extended on a month by month basis should (for example) the roll out of the new equipment over run the subscription end date.
If your client knows from the outset that they will need to retain a percentage of the devices, we can build in that flexibility. An example might be the MOD or Police Force, where the data is very sensitive and the devise needs be disposed of by the organisation themselves.
Is early termination possible?
Early termination can be requested at any point.
